Folk Festival Portraits

For the past few summers we have worked on the photography crew for the Edmonton Folk Festival. For people who have not experienced it, Edmonton Folk Fest is one of the most amazing weekends of the summer. The entire Community comes together to share in a weekend of friends, sun and good music. 

I have always had it in my head that I wanted to do a portrait series for the festival. It took a few years to get it approved and I finally had the chance to start it this past summer. 

It was a slow start as there were a lot of people I needed to get on board with the project to make it happen and make sure the artists knew about it. In the end I was able to get the chance to create portraits of some amazing talent and hopefully the project can grow bigger each year.
