Top 40 Under 40 - Edify Magazine, Edmonton's Finest

We were commissioned by Edify magazine to shoot over a third of the Top 40 Under 40 Award recipients for the 2021 issue.

Photographing this many people for a single story/feature posed a challenge. How do you create something that is both cohesive and singular but also doesn't get too repetitive and has a unique quality to each photo?

We decided to lean into no particular single concept, but play a lot in the studio with similar earthy tones and lighting motifs to bring the variety all together. Some portraits had to be done on location and looked to blend those in with similar composition and colours/toning.
